Hacen fideuà los domingos. Considerado por muchos el mejor restaurante de la localidad
Manolo y Alejandra son, aparte de encantadores y cercanos, profesionales y de los mejores anfitriones de Benicàssim. Su pequeño restaurante Taberna Ciento 2lleva años siendo escogido como el mejor de la localidad costera de Castellón de la Plana. El ambiente es tranquilo, sosegado, y su cocina tiene el punto perfecto entre producto, técnica, tradición y creatividad.
Este es el lugar ideal para quien quiera comer realmente bien en la zona. Alejandra logra cocinar suave y delicadamente el producto de primera que ofrece, siempre con recomendaciones fuera de carta.
Con una buena carta de vinos, os recomiendo no dejar de probar:
Las croquetas, deliciosas.
Cualquiera de sus brioches.
Las bravas o los bocados de patata con huevo líquido (los favoritos de mi hija Candela).
Atentos siempre a las recomendaciones fuera de carta. Aprovechamos para degustar (tras una gilda inicial tamaño XXL, picante y sabrosa):
Un perfecto bocado de pan tostado, mantequilla y anchoa.
Los últimos guisantes de la temporada con velo de panceta y yema.
Unas fantásticas colmenillas a la crema, ligera y deliciosa.
Y una fideuà de las mejores que he probado. Hecha en cazuela, con un sabor y una textura únicas. Perfecta.
Las opciones incluyen carne, pescado y mariscos. Os recomiendo muchísimo también el carabinero con huevo frito y patatas, o los pescados del día.
Los postres son otro de los fuertes del lugar. Con apenas cinco opciones de parte dulce, os aseguro que cualquiera de ellas es un acierto:
La tarta de chocolate blanco con Chips Ahoy es una locura.
La tatin de manzana que prepara Alejandra, un vicio: fina, suave y cremosa, con un montón de capas de hojaldre finísimo.
Imperdible también la carrot cake.
Todos los postres son caseros y buenísimos.
Este lugar es de esos a los que se vuelve siempre. Ojo, porque la fideuà se ofrece solo en días determinados (revisad el IG), y las reservas vuelan.

Their small restaurant Taberna Ciento 2 has been chosen for years as the best in the coastal town of Castellón de la Plana. The bravas or potato bites with liquid egg (my daughter Candela’s favorite).
We always pay attention to the recommendations outside the menu. We took the opportunity to taste (after an initial XXL size gilda, spicy and tasty):
A perfect bite of toasted bread, butter and anchovy.
The last peas of the season with a veil of bacon and egg yolk
Fantastic morels in cream, light and delicious.
And one of the best fideuà I have ever tasted. Made in a casserole, with a unique flavor and texture. Perfect.
Options include meat, fish and seafood. I highly recommend the carabinero with fried egg and potatoes, or the fish of the day.
Desserts are another of the strong points of the place. With only five sweet options, I assure you that any of them is a success:
The white chocolate cake with Chips Ahoy is crazy.
The apple tatin that Alejandra prepares is delicious: thin, soft and creamy, with a lot of layers of very thin puff pastry.
The carrot cake is also not to be missed.
All the desserts are homemade and delicious.
This is one of those places you always come back to. Be careful, because the fideuà is offered only on certain days (check the IG), and reservations fly.
